the end of the year at fairs

I have been rather busy with family thing and craft fairs to do muchh bloging.

Craft fairs are now over for another year.

The last one was under a marque and we froze.

People were not spending much so it was a bit disappointing.

The following day a Friend told me my photo was in the local paper.

I had not seen anyone take it.

The weather has changed to snow to day,the ground is wet so it may not stay for long.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL  if I do not get another chance to blog.

Eaton Craft Fair

This time last year I was getting ready for Eaton Craft fair as it was one

week later.

I did not make it to the fair as we had SNOW and a car went into the back of my car.

What a difference in the weather this year.

It seams strange to see Sweet Peas flowering still in November

and leaves still on the trees.

I have just picked the last of my Autumn raspberry's.

the Hedgehog is still coming to eat so will get well feed for his

                                   long sleep.

Grandchildren

I have just spent the last few day having my Daughter and two grandchildren to stay.

It is great fun,my grandson is now 3yr so we had a little party for his playing pass the parcel and Birthday cake.

This year the favorite toy is any thing to do with Fireman Sam.

My granddaughter is now sitting up and will soon be on the move after all the toys.

Half the washing is done but still need to get it dry, that could take some time as the weather is not great this time of year.

I have enough stock made to cover this weeks fair,so when time allows I cane make for the next few weeks.

My diary is quit full on the run up to Christmas.Eaton only have the Christmas Fair so it is busy.

After lunch and shopping Jill Sharpe tock us on the journey from her first sewing of a sampler to her C&G Patchwork and Quilting to her BA degree from Norwich University college of Arts.

I did not manage to resist buying fabric as there was Dog fabric I kneed for a comintion and a piece I thorght would go for the work on a Gurnesy pice I have in mind.

Shropham the edge of the huricain

After the first rain it managed to dry before we put up the gazebo, using lots of strong guyrops. Not many of my bags stayed on my stall and the rack I hung them from was for ever blowing over.     Leanne's display of jewellery suffered in the same way so at about 1pm we called it a day with NO sales we packed every thing up and went home. That will be the last outdoor event this year as the weather is now getting to wintry.I might try a car boot next week to clear some odd thing from the garage but I do not have to decide until the day .
My Daughter and grandchildren were staying for a few days and as the rain had stoped on Monday morning we decided to go to Banham zoo.We managed to see lot of the animals being feed.to see the giraffes we went on a walkway which tock us up to there head height and we could see there long black tongue's.
We came home early afternoon for the children to have a sleep,I think we had all blown enough by then.
Thay will be back again in about 6 weeks this time for a birthday party.

Saturday and the rain came down like stair rod with flooding on some of the roads,

where the drains could not cope. it also managed to come through the windows of the hall.

Sunday started sunny but changed in the afternoon.I felt sorry for anyone on Holiday.

There were very few people about but this year the fair was not very busy.

I did manage to sell some kits for making Christmas tree decorations.

The visitors to the Latitude Festival must of had a rough time with all the mud.

How it Rained

We maneged to get the gazebo up and the cars unloaded before it rained. The tables were arranged so they would not get wet.First the wind blow and we hung onto the gazebo ,then the rain followed and it was cold after which the sun came out. That mixture of weather went on all afternoon.By the time we packed up it was not raining but everything now has to get dried off.
There was a lot of entertainment for the children some of which they did themselves.
A nice afternoon shame about the weather.

Then when I went to print I
needed more black ink.

Job for tomorrow.

I will also take some hand sewing
but have not thought what yet.
Still have a few days yet.

Machine hexagons

It was a bit over cast to-day and I think

we had some rain over night.

As I was up early I decided to finish this

quilt whilst waiting for a friend to arive.

It is a realy nice and easy pattern and now I

have thought of some other ways of putting

it together to make different patterns.
