what a sucssful day

We will finsh the quilts at a later date.How pleased we were to have blocks ready for another day.I think we all hade a great day and thanks to Cyntha for all her help.

A Day quilting for Linus

Five of us meet with Cyntha to make some quilts for Linus.As usal we had a chance to try a new pattern hear looking at how to make Seminol.

I love Sunflowers

Magic Lantern Lap Quilt

Made with a layer cake

The pattern for this quilt came from

Lynne Edwards book.Making scrap

quilts to use it up.I still have a small amount left

but I know a Lady that makes miniature quilt so I

will pass them on.

Borders

The border points are cut from the remaing layer cake fabric.

Then joined with the background fabric into strips.

All put together

This block can be put together in 2 ways,this is the one I chose.

The slices are turned up side down and the sewn back together.Once the blocks have been pressed the FUN start in arranging them.

I have started to work with a Layer Cake of fabric my Daughter bought me back from her holiday in Australia.A 60 degree triangle was cut from the cake with other fabric added.Then it was sliced into 4.

Under the Sea

Just finished Under the Sea .

It has taken 36hr to make but

I did enjoy doing the quilting.
